CEO of West Virginia's Pleasant Valley Hospital Takes Job With HealthSouth

Alvin R. Lawson, JD, CEO of Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, W. Va., will leave the hospital to accept a job with HealthSouth Western Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Parkersburg, W. Va., according to a My Daily Register report.

Under Mr. Lawson's leadership, PVH has renovated several clinical areas and constructed a covered entry-way to the facility. It has also established the PVH Medical Center, which consists of eight physician offices, and achieved an 80 percent rating on customer satisfaction surveys. Over the past eight years, the hospital has increased net revenue by 54 percent and outpatient volume by 89 percent.

Mr. Lawson will begin work at HealthSouth in October.
