Newton Square, Penn.-based Catholic Health East has appointed Sister Mary Persico to executive vice president of mission integration, according to a Daily Times report.
Sister Mary succeeds Sister Julie Casey, IHM., who held the position since 1998 and announced her retirement in 2010.
In this role, Sister Mary provides direct leadership for a system-wide sponsorship structure that includes the orientation and education of sponsoring religious communities.
Sister Mary has a history of service to CHE: She served on CHE’s board of directors from 2006 through 2009, on CHE’s Sponsors Council from 2004 through 2010, and coordinator of the Sponsors Council from 2006 through 2009.
