Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tenn., is planning a new tower for pediatric services, according to a News Channel 5 report.
The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Williamson Medical Center will provide pediatric inpatient care and emergency care. The hospital will renovate and expand the current surgery suite and add two new operating rooms. The top floor of the facility will be a pediatrics wing with 12 pediatric inpatient beds and four observation beds, according to the report.
Pediatric services will be offered through Williamson Medical Center's affiliation with Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The hospital is awaiting approval from the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency.
