Wayne HealthCare in Ohio Breaks Ground on $5M Cancer Center

Greenville, Ohio-based Wayne HealthCare has broken ground on a new cancer center, according to a WHIOTV report.

The Wayne Cancer Center is being built through Wayne HealthCare's affiliation with Premier Health Partners and Dayton Physicians.

The center is expected to cost roughly $5 million in construction, excluding equipment such as a linear accelerator. The approximately 12,000-square-foot facility will connect to the health system's existing outpatient and dialysis center and will offer medical and radiation oncology, hematology and urology services. Wayne Cancer Center will also house offices for the Cancer Association of Darke County.

Construction is expected to be completed in early 2013.
