Cleveland-based University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center has broken ground on its latest project, a state-of-the-art $30 million proton therapy center, according to a report from the Herald Online.
The center will join the ranks of the 11 operational proton therapy centers across the U.S., becoming the first proton therapy center in Ohio.
The 11,000-square-foot center will open for patients in 2015, serving primarily pediatric cancer patients as well as patients with brain and spine tumors, according to the report.
