Texas Children's Cancer Center in Houston announced the opening of the Fayez Sarofim Lymphoma Center.
The center — the first in the world dedicated specifically to the research, care and treatment of children with lymphoma — was created through a gift of $10 million to Texas Children's Hospital.
The center will conduct research on the biology of lymphomas and develop new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, according to the release.
