Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, Fla., has opened its $25 million cardiac center, according to a Herald-Tribune report.
The center houses the hospital's full-service cardiology department and includes all private rooms, three open-heart surgery suites, three catheterization labs, one electrophysiology cath lab, a 19-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, a 16-bed post-interventional cardiac cath unit and an eight-bed pre-/post-interventional cardiac holding unit.
