Orange Regional Medical Center Raises Funds to Build Comprehensive Pediatric Care Center

Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation announced the start of its Lend a Hand for Kids campaign, a fund drive for the creation of a comprehensive pediatrics program for Middletown, N.Y.-based ORMC, according to a report from the Times Herald Record.

ORMC's renovation plan includes converting 3,000 square feet of its emergency department to a pediatric emergency unit, adding pediatric emergency and nonemergency subspecialists and retrofitting inpatient rooms as rooms for a pediatric intensive care unit.

The ORMC Foundation is already a quarter of the way to their $2 million goal.

Emergency department conversion is slated to begin next week.
