Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune Prepares New Wings, Pediatric Facility

The facility has been working to perform major modernizations of its space, constructed in 1983. These upgrades will help the medical center better serve its expanding patient population, according to the report.

The $103 million project has renovated 170,000 square feet and expanded the medical center by 190,000 square feet.

Additions include outpatient centers, an emergency department expansion, an urgent care center and a nuclear medicine clinic.

The hospital expects begin constructing a $19.5 million pediatric facility directly adjacent to existing facilities soon after the new medical wings open.
