St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., has broken ground on a new $30 million cancer treatment center, according to a NECN.com report.
The 65,000-sqaure-foot facility will provide radiation, chemotherapy, medical oncology and other cancer services. The construction is part of Worcester's $563 million city square development project to bring residential, commercial and retail space to the area.
The city granted a tax break to the cancer center project to incentivize the hospital to build in Worcester rather than the suburbs.
