Tacoma, Wash.-based Mary Bridge Children's Hospital has opened a 52,000-square-foot addition that includes a new pediatric intensive care unit as well as general pediatric beds, according to a report from the Interior Design World Network.
Construction began in the spring of 2012 and will end in 2015 after renovation of the birth center and the neonatal intensive care unit, which have not been updated for more than 20 years, according to a news release.
Completion of the ICU and the pediatric beds end phase one of the three-phase project, which will result in a more than 125,000-square-foot expansion.
