Lexington (N.C.) Medical Center will offer spine and back surgery through John A. Wilson, MD, a neurosurgeon and director of the neurosurgical intensive care unit at Winstom-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, according to The Dispatch.
Dr. Wilson will operate out of a clinic located in Lexington Medical Center facilities.
The new surgery offerings are part of Lexington Medical Center's neurological specialty expansion, which will also bring three neurologists with expertise in neuromuscular disorders, stroke, epilepsy and general neurology, to a clinic on the hospital's campus, according to the report.
