New London, Conn.-based Lawrence + Memorial Hospital's Dana-Farber Cancer Center-affiliated cancer center will open Sept. 30 in Waterford, Conn., according to a report from the Norwich Bulletin.
The 48,000-square-foot, $34.5 million center will offer a variety of outpatient oncology services, including radiation, chemotherapy and blood transfusions. The center will also provide opportunities for clinical trial participation and will offer genetic counseling, and social worker and nutritional suppor
Additionally, the center will provide second opinions from and consultations with physicians at Dana-Farber Cancer Center, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center in Boston.
