Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital has released a new cancer care app developed by Kart Media Group to help patients undergoing cancer surgery more easily navigate the process, according to a report from Crain's Detroit.
The app, Cancer Surgery Mobile App, allows patients to peruse and learn about various cancers and their possible treatments, schedule appointments, call a 24-hour cancer specialist hotline, connect to their Henry Ford electronic medical records and receive directions and transportation suggestions for arriving at Henry Ford cancer care locations.
The app is free for both Android and Apple devices and has been downloaded more than 1,000 times so far, according to the report.
