Goodall Hospital Expands Service, Adds Cardiology

Sanford, Maine-based Goodall Hospital is now offering cardiology services in advance of a planned Jan. 1, 2014, merger with Biddeford-based Southern Maine Medical Center, according to a report from Sanford News.

 SMMC cardiologist Shabbir Reza, MD, will now offer consults at Goodall Hospital facilities.

Goodall's service expansion to cardiology means that cardiac patients will no longer have to travel outside of the Sanford community to receive cardiac care, according to the report.
