Torrington, Conn.-based Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is reconsidering the construction of its proposed cancer center in East Litchfield, Conn., according to a report from the County Times.
Charlotte Hungerfield and its partner in the potential venture, Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospitals, cited financial reasons for suspending the project, saying the project was turning out to be more expensive than initial cost projections had suggested.
Charlotte Hungerfield is apparently considering adding an addition to its cancer care center in Torrington as an alternative to the East Litchfield project, according to the report.
