Oak Brook, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care announced the formation of Advocate Children's Hospital, created through the partnership of Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., and Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.
This new pediatric health network is designed to provide increased access to physicians, pediatric research and integrated care. The combined hospitals have more than 400 pediatricians and 230 pediatric subspecialists in trauma, neonatology, surgery and hematology/oncology, among other specialties.
Mike Farrell (pictured right) has been named president of Advocate Children's Hospital. The network also has a new brand and structure, according to the release.
