Bonner Investments is suing its former renter, Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Wash., claiming a breach of contract after the hospital allegedly dismantled part of the facility to limit future competition, according to a Peninsula Daily News report.
The suit alleges that OMC, operated by a public hospital district, illegally removed costly copper sheathing and high-voltage power services when it vacated the imaging facility Dec. 31. The lawsuit alleges that OMC did this to give itself a monopoly on medical imaging services in the Sequim-Port Angeles area.
An OMC spokesperson said the center removed public assets belonging to the public hospital district and fully restored the facility to "immaculate" condition, suitable for use.
Bonner Investments is seeking damages to be determined at the trial.
