Universal Health Services, in King of Prussia, Pa., has announced its third-quarter 2010 results, with net revenues of $1.32 billion — a 2.2 percent increase compared to $1.29 billion in the third quarter of 2009 , according to a UHS news release.
The company lowered the top end of its projected range for 2010 earnings, sending shares lower in after-hours trading.
Hospital admissions also increased, with UHS reporting an increase of 1.9 percent at acute-care hospitals and 3.1 percent at behavior health hospitals.
