Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., has awarded a $215 million contract to begin extensive construction for the hospital's expansion, according to a Cecil Whig news report.
The expansion includes a five-story, 144-bed addition to the hospital, a ground-level parking garage and a new emergency department, among other additions. Hospital construction will break ground in September, with a projected completion date in late 2013.
