The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board will consider certificate of need applications for competing hospitals in the Chicago suburbs on June 28, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
Janesville, Wis.-based Mercy Health System's filed a CON application to build a 128-bed hospital in Crystal Lake, Ill., while Crystal Lake-based Centegra Health System's applied to build a 128-bed facility in nearby Huntley, Ill.
The Board is unlikely to grant both requests, according to previous reports.
