Who's getting a new CIO in 2023?

Here are 26 hospitals and health systems that have appointed new chief information officers, as reported by Becker's since Jan. 1:

  1. Courtney Lewis Starnes was named senior vice president and chief information officer of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health.
     
  2. Nancy Levett was named CIO and vice president of Rome (N.Y.) Health.

  3. Michael Saad was named senior vice president and CIO of Traverse City, Mich- based Munson Healthcare.

  4. Tim Pugsley was named CIO of Watertown, S.D.-based Prairie Lakes Healthcare System.

  5. Tim Belec was named CIO of Fairfield, Iowa-based Jefferson County Health Center.

  6. David Singer was named CIO of New Orleans-based LCMC Health.

  7. Julie Eastman was named CIO of Orange, Calif.-based UCI Health.

  8. Sarah Hatchett was named interim CIO of Cleveland Clinic.

  9. Matthew Kull was named chief information and digital officer of Falls Church, Va.-based Inova.

  10. Tanya Townsend was named chief information and digital officer of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine Children's Health.

  11. Susan Ibanez was named CIO of Brunswick-based Southeast Georgia Health System.

  12. Tony Johnston was named senior vice president of information services and CIO of Cincinnati Children's.

  13. Elizabeth Price was named vice president of information systems and CIO of Lewisburg, Pa.-based Evangelical Community Hospital.

  14. Tom Gregorio was named senior vice president and CIO of Providence, R.I.-based Care New England.

  15. Tyler Whetstine was named CIO of Mobile, Ala-based USA Health.

  16. William Walders was named CIO of Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare.

  17. Jennifer Stemmler was named CIO of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health.

  18. Conrad Band was named CIO and senior vice president of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

  19. Donna Peters was named senior vice president and CIO of Cincinnati-based TriHealth.

  20. Steven Travers, PhD, was named vice president and CIO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health.

  21. Tim McDermott was named CIO of Cookeville (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center.

  22. Daniel Stross was named vice president and CIO of Charleston, W.Va.-based Vandalia Health.

  23. Mark Waind was named CIO consultant of Aitkin, Minn.-based Riverwood Healthcare Center.

  24. Richard Mendola was named vice president and CIO of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins University.

  25. Tom Bartiromo was named CIO of West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health.
