Ruth Matthei, RN, became the new CNO of Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, Ill., on July 10.
Ms. Matthei most recently served as director of quality and interim CNO at the hospital. She has 30 years of healthcare leadership experience. In addition to her RN license, Ms. Matthei is also licensed as a clinical social worker in Illinois.
"We're very happy to welcome Ruth permanently into the top nurse leadership role at Westlake," Patrick Maloney, CEO of Westlake Hospital and West Suburban Medical Center, said in a release. "Those who know Ruth know that her compassion and dedication are what make her such a great leader to drive quality nursing care."
