Cathleen Wheatley, MSN, RN, will become chief nursing executive and vice president of clinical operations at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Sept. 8.
Ms. Wheatley has more than 25 years of healthcare and executive management experience. Since 2012, she has served in the United Arab Emirates at Abu Dhabi Health Services as the system's chief nursing executive.
In her new position at Wake Forest Baptist, Ms. Wheatley will oversee overall performance of clinical care operations, including nursing care for patients and the cancer, pediatric and behavioral health service lines.
Ms. Wheatley is replacing Maureen Sintich, MSN, RN, vice president and CNO, who accepted a position with Meridian Health in Neptune, N.J.
