W. Michael Bryant has been named as the next president and CEO of Centra Health, headquartered in Lynchburg, Va., according to a health system news release.
Mr. Bryant replaces George W. Dawson, who will retire this fall after nearly three decades at the helm of the healthcare system. Mr. Bryant is currently president and CEO of Peoria, Ill.-based Methodist Health Services Corp., a position he has filled since 1999. He is expected to begin his new role at Centra on Oct. 10.
