Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Ariz., has tapped Feliciano Jiron as its new leader, according to a Mohave Valley Daily News report.
Mr. Jiron was named CEO of VVMC, replacing Fred Capozello, who decided to step down from his position.
Most recently, Mr. Jiron was CEO of Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center since 2011. His previous roles also include president and CEO of Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas, Calif., and assistant CEO/COO of Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City.
In June, Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health gave Mr. Jiron its prestigious Fleetwood Award. The award recognizes a hospital leader who exemplifies the values and spirit of LifePoint's former CEO, the late Jim Fleetwood, according to the report. LifePoint owns VVMC and LAMC.
