University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor announced the appointment of Kevin Ward, MD, as executive director of medical innovation.
Dr. Ward, a professor in the department of emergency medicine, is the first person to hold this position. In his new role, Dr. Ward will bring together a broad array of efforts to help accelerate innovation and commercialization of the medical school's biomedical research He will also lead efforts to attract commercial partners through novel partnership models.
