Doug Strong, CEO of the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers in Ann Arbor, Mich., has been elected the new chair of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, according to a University of Michigan Health System news release.
At MHA's annual meeting on Mackinac Island, Mich., Strong laid out his goals for his one-year term of office. Those goals include shifting the healthcare industry's focus to address the health and healthcare needs of populations of Michiganders, not just individual care episodes.
