Fort Collins-based University of Colorado Health's CEO Bruce Schroffel and President Rulon Stacey have announced their resignation, effective Jan. 31, 2014.
According to a UCHealth news release, Mr. Schroffel and Mr. Stacey decided that it was time for the organization to transition to new leadership, and hence handed in their resignations.
In 2010, Mr. Schroffel, then president and CEO of Aurora-based University of Colorado Hospital, and Mr. Stacey, then president and CEO of Fort Collins-based Poudre Valley Health System, spearheaded the merger of the two organizations that formed University of Colorado Health.
Bill Neff, MD, who currently serves as the health system's CMO, will serve as interim president and CEO during the search for a new leader. From now on, the roles of president and CEO of UCHealth will be combined.
