Worcester-based UMass Memorial Health Care has named Eric W. Dickson, MD, MHCM, FACEP, president and CEO, effective Feb. 25.
Dr. Dickson is currently the president of UMass Memorial Medical Group, a 1,060-physician multidisciplinary group that is a subsidiary of UMass Memorial Health Care. He also serves as a senior associate dean at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
Dr. Dickson is replacing John O'Brien, who is leaving the post to focus on non-profit and public service work, according to the news release.
