Robert "Bo" Cofield, vice president and chief clinical operating officer of Lexington-based UK HealthCare, resigned.
Here are five notes:
1. Mr. Cofield is leaving UK HealthCare to pursue new professional opportunities.
2. During his tenure, he helped the organization earn Magnet status and strengthened its partnership with Lexington-based University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
3. Mr. Cofield assumed his current role in 2015.
4. He previously served as associate vice president for hospital and clinics operations of University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
5. He will work with UK HealthCare's leadership to ensure a smooth transition.
