University of California San Diego Health System has named Paul S. Viviano its new CEO, effective June 1, according to a San Diego Union-Tribune report.
Mr. Viviano replaces Thomas McAfee, MD, dean for clinical affairs at UC San Diego Health System, who had been filling in as an interim CEO since December.
Mr. Viviano will be paid $720,000 a year and will also remain on the board of directors of Alliance HealthCare Services in Newport Beach, Calif., where he previously served as CEO since 2003.
