1. Ms. Patel most recently served as the hospital's COO.
2. Previously, she served as assistant COO for Tulane Health System.
3. She holds a master of health administration degree from New Orleans-based Tulane University.
4. Ms. Patel succeeds Bret Kolman, who left for the top post at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo.
5. Tulane Health System is conducting a nationwide search for a new COO at Lakeview Regional.
