The Tufts Medical Center Board of Trustees appointed Michael Wagner, MD, as permanent president and CEO of Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children in Boston.
Dr. Wagner has held these roles in an interim capacity since September 2013. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Tufts Medical Center Physicians Organization, CMO of the medical center, chief of internal medicine and adult primary care and chief of general surgery. He also practiced internal medicine at the hospital.
Dr. Wagner also served as CEO of EmCare Inpatient Services, was part of the Society for General Internal Medicine's Commission on Physician Payment Reform and served as CMO of Fidelis Care New York.
