Erick Hawkins, CFO of Raleigh, N.C.-based UNC Rex Healthcare, is the third executive from the health system to pack his bags for Orlando, Fla., in the last year, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
Mr. Hawkins has been appointed senior vice president of strategic management at Orlando Health.
Two executives from UNC Rex Healthcare, owned by Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care, left the system this summer for executive roles at Orlando Health. David Strong, former president of UNC Rex Healthcare, now serves as CEO of Orlando Health, while Bernadette Spong, UNC Rex Healthcare's former CFO, is now CFO at Orlando Health.
Mr. Hawkins became UNC Rex Healthcare's CFO after Ms. Spong's departure.
Mark Miller will join UNC Health Care as senior vice president of finance. Previously, Mr. Miller was senior vice president of operational finance at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health. He also spent 10 years with Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System, where he served as CFO for Durham Regional and Duke University Hospitals, as well as associate vice president of clinical care finance.
Jeff LeGay will serve as UNC Rex Healthcare's interim CFO during the system's search for a full-time replacement, according to the report. Mr. LeGay has served as Rex Healthcare's director of corporate finance for four years. Previously, he held various roles at Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed Health and Hospitals for 10 years.
