The McKenna System in New Braunfels, Texas, announced yesterday that CEO Tim Brierty will resign from the leadership position next month, according to a KGNB report.
Mr. Brierty has worked for McKenna for nearly 20 years and previously served as CEO of McKenna Memorial Hospital before it was sold to the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital System in 2007. He oversaw the sale.
Mr. Brierty will leave the hospital system Oct. 22 to take a job with University Hospital System in San Antonio. The system board has named CFO Allen Strickland as interim CEO while the hospital searches for a permanent replacement.
