Verdi DiSesa, MD, has been named president and CEO of Temple University Hospital, the flagship teaching facility of Temple University Health System, both in Philadelphia.
Here are three things to know about Dr. DiSesa.
1. He previously served as interim president and CEO of Philadelphia-based Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of Temple University Health System.
2. In addition to his newest role, Dr. DiSesa will maintain his duties as COO of Temple University Health System and senior vice dean for clinical affairs in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
3. He will replace John Kastanis, who will leave his post March 1 to become president and CEO of University Hospital, a 519-bed academic medical center in Newark, N.J.
