Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System hired Ilene Cantor to serve as vice president of marketing and communications.

1. Ms. Cantor previously served as chief communications and marketing officer at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Mich.
2. She also has experience serving as a TV anchor and reporter at WAGM-TV (CBS) in Presque Isle, Maine; WVII-TV (ABC) in Bangor, Maine, and a morning anchor at WILX-TV10 in Lansing.
3. She holds a master's degree in strategic marketing and public relations from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
