Smart Choice MRI, a Chicago-based low-cost MRI provider, named Rusty Taylor CFO.

1. Previously, he was group CFO for Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates, which merged with Optum, a health services company and part of UnitedHealth Group.
2. Mr. Taylor also previously worked for Zynx Health, a Los Angeles-based provider of healthcare clinical decision support solutions, as vice president of client success and finance.
3. His hiring at Smart Choice MRI comes after the company closed an investment from Aurora-based University of Colorado Health, officials said via news release.
