Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala., has hired Kidada Hawkins as CEO, according to a Courier Journal report.
Here are three things to know about Mr. Hawkins.
1. Mr. Hawkins will begin his tenure at Shoals in late September.
2. He has been serving as the administrator of rural health operations for Birmingham, Ala.-based St. Vincent's Health System for the past five years. During his time there, he helped plan and coordinate the St. Vincent's St. Clair relocation into a $32 million facility, and added four new service lines in that market, Tyndal Davis, board chairman for Shoals and sister hospital, Eliza Coffee Memorial in Florence, Ala., said in the report.
3. Mr. Hawkins received a bachelor's degree in biology from Morehouse College in Atlanta and a master's degree in healthcare administration and business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
