Alan Strauss has been named senior vice president and CFO of Seton Healthcare Family, the largest hospital system in Austin, Texas, effective Nov. 1, according to an Austin Business Journal report.
Mr. Strauss joins Seton from Tucson, Ariz.-based Carondelet Health Network, where he served as CFO. Mr. Strauss will continue as CFO of Carondelet for some time, commuting between Austin and Tucson, while Carondelet completes a transaction with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.
During his 36 years of working in healthcare finance, Mr. Strauss has also served as CFO of Nashville-based Saint Thomas Health, interim CFO of Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., and CFO of St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif.
