Scotland Health Care System in Laurinburg, N.C., tapped David Pope to serve as senior vice president of operations and COO, effective March 4.
Four notes:
1. Mr. Pope comes to Scotland from at St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, N.C., where he served as interim CEO.
2. He previously worked at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge in Morganton, N.C., where he served in several roles including as vice president.
3. He served as a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps.
4. Mr. Pope holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Public Health and a juris doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, N.C.
