Susan Ehrlich, MD, has been named CEO of the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, according to a Bay Area Reporter article.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Ehrlich.
1. She will start her new post April 25.
2. In her new role at the county-owned hospital, she will lead a staff of 5,400 and manage a $1.1 billion budget, according to the Bay Area Reporter.
3. Dr. Ehrlich has been serving as CEO of San Mateo (Calif.) Medical Center since 2009. She has also served as CMO, vice president and medical director of SMMC.
4. She has also served as budget and planning director for the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
