Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, N.C., has named Shawn Howerton, MD, CEO, according to a Sampson Independent report.
Dr. Howerton, a family practitioner, had been serving as interim CEO since November 2013. Prior, he served as CMO of SRMC.
