West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health has tapped Indu Lew, PharmD, to serve as senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer, effective immediately.
Dr. Lew most recently served as vice president of corporate pharmacy at RWJBarnabas Health. She has worked at the health system since 2002, serving in several leadership roles, including director of education and research.
Dr. Lew has authored and co-authored more than 65 abstracts and manuscripts. She serves on several boards, including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists' Section Advisory Group on Multi-Hospital Pharmacy Executives Committee. She earned her doctorate in pharmacy from University of Florida in Gainesville.
She will now oversee RWJBarnabas Health's 23 pharmacy divisions.
Dr. Lew replaces Robert T. Adamson, PharmD, who has been named operational project director of Epic implementation, effective immediately.
In his new role, Dr. Adamson will lead the implementation of the Epic EHR system for the health system. He served as chief pharmacy officer for four years. He joined RWJBarnabas Health in 2001 as a critical care pharmacist at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.
