Rush President Michael Dandorph to resign

Michael Dandorph, president of Chicago-based Rush University System for Health, is resigning in October to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. Dandorph became president of Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center in 2016 and was named president of Rush University System for Health when it was formed the next year. The health system includes Rush University Medical Center, Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Ill., Rush Oak Park (Ill.) Hospital and their respective subsidiaries.

During his tenure at Rush, Mr. Dandorph led the integration of clinical programs across Rush's network and oversaw the expansion of ambulatory locations. He joined Rush in 2013.

"While Mike's departure is a great loss for Rush, we respect his decision and express our sincere gratitude for his many contributions to position Rush for future success under the capable and talented leadership teams across the health system," said Susan Crown, chairman of the Rush board.
