Randy Hoover, interim CEO of Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville, Ga., has resigned, according to a WMAZ-TVreport.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Hoover's resignation.
1. It took effect Oct. 6.
2. Mr. Hoover did not provide a specific reason for his resignation. However, in his resignation letter, he did note that the organization, which is in the midst of a financial turnaround and laid off about 12 people in May, has been through "a tumultuous year."
3. Mr. Hoover's resignation announcement comes just after Navicent Health ended its partnership with Oconee a couple of weeks ago, according to the report. Navicent had agreed to manage the medical center.
4. His resignation is the latest for Oconee as the organization has dealt with financial challenges. Jean Aycock, who was the CEO of the hospital, resigned in May. CFO Brenda Qualls resigned in August.
