Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta Announces Leadership Changes

Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare has announced several leadership changes resulting from its newly created South Region, a collaboration between three Piedmont-affiliated hospitals on the south side of Atlanta.

The leadership changes include:

• Mike Robertson will serve as CEO of Piedmont Healthcare's South Region, effective July 1. He currently serves as president and CEO of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Upon his departure, Denise Ray will take over as CEO.
• Jim Sams, MD, current medical director of primary care for Piedmont Physicians Group, will serve as CMO of the new South Region, effective July 1.
• Current president and CEO of Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga., Darrel Cutts, has announced he will retire July 9. He has served Piedmont for 36 years. Michael Burnett, who has served as Piedmont Fayette's COO since 2008, will assume the title of president and chief administrative officer upon Mr. Cutts' retirement.
• Jeff Folk, MD, has been named CMO of Piedmont Newnan (Ga.) Hospital. Previously, he served as vice president of medical affairs at the hospital.
• Jagdeep Singh, MD, has been named CMO of Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Ga. He most recently served as vice president of medical affairs for the hospital.
