PeaceHealth hires Liz Dunne as new CEO: 7 things to know

Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth has hired Elizabeth "Liz" Dunne as president and CEO, according to a Portland Business Journal report.

Here are seven things to know about Ms. Dunne.

1. Ms. Dunne will join PeaceHealth Nov. 1.

2. She succeeds president and chief mission officer Alan Yordy, who retired in June.

3. As CEO of PeaceHealth, Ms. Dunne will be responsible for all operations in the $2 billion system, including 10 hospitals, an 800-member multi-specialty group practice and a research laboratory, according to the report.

4. Currently, Ms. Dunne serves as community CEO for Providence Health & Services' South Bay, Calif., region. In that role, she oversees two hospitals and six care sites in Torrance and San Pedro, Calif. She has been with Providence since 2011.

5. Ms. Dunne previously held executive officer positions with City of Hope in Duarte, Calif., and Memorial Health Services in Fountain Valley, Calif.

6. She served in the U.S. Air Force on active duty.

7. She's a registered dietitian and holds a master's degree in business and computer resource management from Webster University in St. Louis.
