With the approval of the UC Board of Regents, Patty Maysent has officially accepted the position of CEO of UC San Diego Health this month.
Ms. Maysent had been serving as interim CEO of the academic health system since August 2015. Before that, she was the system's chief of staff and chief strategy officer. "I am deeply honored to continue my service to UC San Diego Health, our extraordinary physician-scientists and deeply dedicated staff," said Ms. Maysent. "I look forward to accelerating collaborations with local hospitals, physicians and providers to expand access to our tertiary and quaternary clinical services."
She also announced plans to deepen UC San Diego Health's commitment to transforming healthcare for patients locally and globally through the Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla, Calif., which is scheduled to open in late 2016.
